Limit Sun Exposure

UV rays are the biggest threat to anti-aging; prolonged sun exposure can decrease your skin’s elasticity, making it prone to wrinkles, texture changes, and even thinning. Make sure to protect yourself while spending time outside! Stay in the shade as much as possible, and never leave home without sunglasses and a hat. Sunscreen is your best defense against harmful UV rays and is most effective when applied between 10 am and 4 pm. The higher the sun protection factor (SPF) in your sunscreen the better – aim for  30 SPF and above. Mineral-based sunscreens can be applied immediately before sun exposure, but can leave a white hue particularly on darker skin. Chemical based sunscreens tend to be sheer but need to be applied 30 min before sun exposure. All sunscreen needs to be reapplied at least every 2 hours or after swimming.

Use The Most Protective Products

It seems like retinol is a no-brainer, but it can dry out the skin. Less is more! We recommend using a thin layer of retinol in the evening under your moisturizer.
