Pre and Post-Procedure

In order to make sure your Laser Hair Reduction treatment is most effective, make sure to avoid excessive sunlight and tanning beds prior to your appointment. Shave the treatment areas within 24 hours of the procedure, as only short hair follicles will be able to be removed. Immediately following your Laser Hair Reduction, your skin may look red or feel swollen, but you should be able to go back to your everyday routine right away. Continue to protect the treated areas from direct sunlight.

The Process

Laser Hair Reduction is a safe, non-invasive process that targets unwanted hair on your face, underarms, back, or legs. The treatment area is cleaned and may be prepped with a numbing gel before the laser removes the hair follicles from your skin. The process may last anywhere from several minutes to longer than an hour depending on the size of the treatment area, and many patients have said the laser feels similar to a rubber band snapping against their skin.
